Since 1746 the Eszterbauer family’s vineyards have been included in the archives of Szekszárd city. The present owner János represents the 10th Eszterbauer generation. The operation is run by him with the help of his wife, Mónika, his daughters, Ildikó and Kata, and winemaker Miklós Klein. In accordance with the realities of Szekszárd they offer a large number of the red varieties, the flagship-wines are made from Kadarka and Kékfrankos. To honour their ancestors, the 19th and 20th century “peasant-bourgeois” world of Szekszárd, the bottle labels display photographs of their grandparents and great-grandparents.
