The winery is located in Noszvaj, 12 km from the center of Eger. The 2,000 m2 cellar which was once an estate manor was carved out by hand into the volcanic tuff mountain. The old cellar was extended by a new 2200 m2 cellar system also carved into the volcanic tuff. The temperate and balanced climate of the cellar provides ideal conditions for wine aging. Technology is regularly updated with internationally recognized quality equipment. Every member of the Thummerer family, 3 children, grandchildren, son-in-law and daughter-in-law takes part in the production and operation. There are also 30 employees assisting the work of Mr. József Lamport, head winemaker. The goal is to attain the highest quality.
